I’ve been wanting to visit New Zealand since I was little. I remember watching documentaries about the country and how beautiful it was. When I finally got the chance to go, I couldn’t believe my eyes! There were so many things to do there, and I loved every second of it.

New Zealand is a country located in Oceania, between Australia and Antarctica, and covers two-thirds of the South Island of the island of New Zealand. It is the world’s 13th largest nation by area and 16th largest sovereign state. Its capital city is Wellington, and its official languages are English and Te Reo Maori.

Climate of New Zealand

The climate of New Zealand varies greatly based on location. In the north, it is temperate oceanic, while in the south it is subtropical. The average temperature ranges from 10°C (50°F) in the winter to 24°C (75°F) in the summer. Rainfall is abundant throughout the year, averaging 1,500 millimeters (59 inches).

Geography of New Zealand

New Zealand is situated in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, bordered by Australia to the east, the Tasman Sea to the west, and the Southern Ocean to the south. It is separated from North America by the Drake Passage and from Asia by the Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties.

Population of New Zealand

In July 2016, the population was estimated at 4.8 million people. Of these, 2.9 million live in Auckland, 0.8 million in Wellington, 0.5 million in Christchurch, 0.4 million in Dunedin, and 0.3 million in Hamilton.

New Zealand has a high standard of living, ranking first among developed countries in terms of per capita GDP. The economy is heavily dependent on primary production, especially dairy farming, forestry, fishing, and mining. Tourism is also a major industry.

New Zealand is a constitutional monarchy with Queen Elizabeth II as head of state. Executive power resides in a cabinet headed by the prime minister. Legislative authority is vested in both houses of Parliament. New Zealand’s judicial system is independent of government administration.

The national anthem of New Zealand is God Defend New Zealand. It was written by Thomas Bracken MacKenzie and composed by Sir William Joseph Nolan.

The currency of New Zealand is the New Zealand dollar. There are 100 cents in a dollar.

How did you get to New Zealand?

I flew to Auckland first, then took a flight to Wellington. From there, I rented a car and drove around until I reached Queenstown.

What was your favorite place to visit?

It’s a beautiful place to live. There are amazing beaches everywhere and lots of places to hike and explore. Also, the people are really friendly and helpful.

My favorite place would have to be Milford Sound. I had never seen anything like it before. I just wanted to take pictures of everything.

Do you have any tips for people who want to travel to New Zealand?

If you’re going to visit New Zealand, make sure you bring enough money. You’ll need it if you want to buy souvenirs and food. Also, don’t forget to pack some sunscreen!

1. The people

 New Zealanders are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Everyone is always willing to help out and make sure you’re doing okay.

2. The nature

 I love how green everything is! There’s no shortage of fresh air and beautiful scenery everywhere you go.

 3. The food

 The food here is amazing! You’ll find yourself eating at least three meals a day just to stay full.

 4. The culture

 There’s something special about being able to walk around anywhere and not feel like you’re in a big city.

5. The beaches

 They’re absolutely stunning! I’m talking white sand, turquoise water, and palm trees. What else could you want?

If you could live anywhere else besides New Zealand, where would it be?

I’d probably choose somewhere warm. I’m not really fond of cold weather.

What’s your favorite type of food?

Anything spicy. I love Mexican food, especially tacos.
